Crazy Socks Round to Support Katherine Oreopoulos


On Tuesday 24th of November and Wednesday 25th November, Kedron Lions is supporting one of our own players who has been diagnosed recently with Hodgkin Lymphoma and is undergoing Chemotherapy.  Due to this treatment Katherine is unable to play her number one chosen sport with us this year.


To support Katherine and her family we are holding a fundraiser round where each Kedron Lions player is asked to wear their favourite colourful and bright crazy socks to symbolise this fundraiser, together with a gold coin donation.  Please get behind this by wearing crazy socks yourself and reminding your players to participate and get involved! On your training night prior to the week’s game day, please remind your girls to bring their gold coin donation and take your teams collection in an envelope with your team’s name on it to the BNA clubhouse where a Kedron Lions box will be provided for the collections.


Thank you for all your support, time and efforts to give back to a well-deserved team member and be part of this well-known netball club who unites when it matters!

We have now updated the website with all REP information for 2020/21. Can you please pass on the following information to your members:

 

Nominations for the 2020 TIP Program are now open! The BNA TIP program is a specialized program that is designed to improve the overall playing standards of netball at the BNA, and ultimately the standard of our representative teams. The TIP program operates during the Summer Season (October – Feb) each year and is aimed at players aged between 12-19 years (in 2021).  Players must nominate and then be selected to participate in the program. Further information (including the nomination form) can be found here: http://www.brisbanenetball.org.au/wsp2020TalentIdentifiedPlayerTIPProgram.aspx

 

BNA are also running a couple of Pre-TIP clinics for players born in 2009 only (turning 12 in 2021). These clinics are designed to improve their general skills and to prepare them for TIP trials. The clinics will give players some extra training and insight into what will be required at the trials. Nominations are open to all players in this age group. TRIALS FOR WINTER 2020 Season.

Trials for Winter 2020 Season are as follows:


Go Clinic - Players born 2012 and 2011 - Monday 16th March 6-7:30pm (sign in at 5:30pm) at BNA Courts Chermside.

Juniors (players born 2010 and 2009)  - Sunday 22nd March - 8am to 10am (sign in 7:30am)

Inters (players born 2008, 2007 and 2006) - Sunday 22nd March - 10am to 12pm (sign in 9:30am)

Opens (players born 2005 and earlier) - Sunday 22nd March - 10am to 12pm (sign in 9:30am)

All Junior, Inters and Open Trials are being held at Boondall Entertainment Centre, Sports Complex.

Trials are compulsory for all players.

Please note that there are no parents allowed into the court area on the day.  If you wish to drop off and go please do so as there will be Committee Members there to supervise players.

Great sportsmanship example!

Kedron Lions Netball Club is proud to share an email received from a parent of an opposing team. The game was played Tuesday 4th of February, in the junior semi finals. Our player showed great sportsmanship, something which our club values greatly. This player sets an admirable example to all aspiring netballers. We would like to congratulate our very own Pearl Eupene.
